The KAYA Wellbeing Index

The science behind KAYA has been developed over the last 15 years through academic and practical assessment.

KAYA wellbeing index

Wellbeing is the state of being comfortable, healthy, and happy.  In work this results in engaged, focused and productive employees.  The KAYA Wellbeing Index represents a simple measure of how happy an employee is with their workplace wellbeing experience.

The KAYA Wellbeing Index

The KAYA Wellbeing Index overlays Martin Seligman’s PERMA model of happiness with our constructs of employee experience.  The insights are captured in a single, meaningful metric by processing PERMA dimensions scores through our proprietary neural patternation algorithm.  Index scores are created out of 100.  The higher the score the higher the wellbeing level.

Employees who score high on our wellbeing index are able to show high levels of engagement.  Employees who are engaged go above and beyond what is expected of them and consistently perform to high standards.

Seligman’s Model of Happiness

Happiness is the state of being content with the environment we are in, the people we work with and the work we do.

We use Seligman’s PERMA model to report employee wellbeing happiness in terms of their Positive Emotions, Engagement, Relationships, Meaningfulness and Accomplishment.
